It may just be the greatest education Oklahoma state government ever created: the Oklahoma's Promise program.

Over 20,000 Oklahoma students have attended colleges and universities because of the Oklahoma's Promise program. That means thousands and thousands of Oklahomans (students, parents, grandparents and family friends) have has their lives enriched by the little program that was begun two decades ago.

While the Oklahoma's Promise program has provided the dream of higher education for tens of thousands of Oklahomans who ordinarily could not afford college, too few Oklahomans know or understand how this 'rising tide lifts all boats.' That's why KeepOklahomasPromise.org was created.

At KeepOklahomasPromise.org, we want to hear those stories and spread the good news about Oklahoma higher education programs like Oklahoma's Promise! That's why we're launching a virtual alumni association for current and past Oklahoma's Promise students, and news and information for their families.

If you're now or have been in the past an Oklahoma's Promise student, we hope you'll join the Oklahoma's Promise Alumni Association before you leave. Friends and families are welcome to join as associates. There's no cost to join, and we'll never sell or lease our membership information. What we will do is keep you informed about Oklahoma's Promise and other programs that enrich our state. We need all Oklahomans to get involved, because as someone once said, "Education is too important to be left solely to educators."
